The University of Cyprus Library organizes seminars to users wishing to take full advantage of all information sources and services provided by the Library.

Seminars offered

Introduction to Library services

The Library would like to welcome this year’s freshmen and inform them about the services it offers!
Duration: 45 mn (seminar in English upon request)

Include

  • information about UCY Library departments and collections,
  • introduction to the Library Catalogue, which is accessible through WebOPAC, and
  • navigation to the Library website, with emphasis on electronic information sources (access, search and utilization of digital information).

SEMVIV-1

Using the Library catalogue

The seminar's goal is to familiarize users with the Library catalogue, which is accessible either through AdvPac on available workstations at the Libraries or through WebOpac (Internet connection).

The seminar lasts approximately 90 min. and includes simple and advanced search of the catalogue in both interfaces (AdvPac and WebOpac). It also includes the use of AdvPat - Patrons services (user's personal data, checked out material status, reservations status, fines, renewals, etc.).

Electronic information services

The seminar lasts approximately 90 min. and includes navigation to the Library's website, with emphasis on electronic information services (access, search and utilization of digitized information).
