Photocopying-Printing

All library branches are equipped with B&W photocopying machines for use by library users. Color photocopying machine located in the Multimedia Room in the Main Library. Machines operate with University card (smart card).

University card (smart card)

You can charge your smart card with credits at the print credit machine at the Main Library and use it for photocopying and printing. If using the print credit machine for the first time, you will need to synchronize your university/smart card with the photocopying system. The library staff at the Circulation and User Services Office may assist you in synchronizing and adding credits to your card.

Photocopying machines accepting the smart card are found at the Main Library, Turkish Studies Collection, the Archaeological Collection and the Department of Architecture.

Printing

Photocopying machines operating with smartcard (Main Library, Turkish Studies Collection, Archaeological Research Unit [EMA], Department of Architecture [68 Ledras and 23A Ariadnes Str.]) can also be used as printers.

Printing can be request either from a Library PC or through Web-Print, in which the request can be placed from your own device (PC, smartphone, tablet) provided that it is connected to the University network (no drivers installation needed).

You can connect to Web-Print by following the link https://print.lib.ucy.ac.cy/user and entering the username and password that you use to access UCY services (Web-mail, Library account, etc.)

Color printing can be done at the photocopying machine located in the Multimedia Room in the Main Library.

Application for Visitor’s University Card for photocopying by non-Library members

If you are an external user or graduate of the University of Cyprus or any other education institute and you are not registered as Library member, you can apply for a Smart Card to be used for photocopying submitting the “Application for Visitor’s University Card for photocopying by non-Library members”, to be handed in at the Circulation and User Services Office. For the issuing of the card there is a one-off charge of €11,90.

 

According to the Disciplinary Rules for Students of the University of Cyprus, photocopying more than 10% of a book or carrying a photocopy of 10% of a book in the University premises is an offense.
