Visually impaired users

The University of Cyprus Library aims to render all its services and sources available to all users. It tries to predict and satisfy the special reading needs of visually impaired users, contributing in the development of a comprehensive learning environment at the University of Cyprus.

Before the beginning of every academic semester, the Library converts instructional material to a format that makes it accessible to visually impaired users – provided that instructors inform the Library and send the material in advance.

Reproduction of material in such formats is excluded by the Law on Intellectual Property 59 /76, 7.–(2) (xix) for the benefit of individuals with special needs.

At the Main Library there is a work station dedicated to visually impaired users that is equipped with appropriate hardware and software.
