The University of Cyprus Library aims to render all its services and sources available to all users. It tries to predict and satisfy the special reading needs of print-disabled students, that is with a difficulty or inability to read printed material due a visual, physical, perceptual or learning disability, contributing in the development of a comprehensive learning environment at the University of Cyprus.

Before the beginning of every academic semester, the Library converts instructional material to a format that makes it accessible to print-disabled users – provided that instructors inform the Library and send the material in advance.

  • Braille script
  • Uppercase script

Reproduction of material in such formats is excluded by the Law on Intellectual Property 59 /76, 7.–(2) (xix) for the benefit of individuals with special needs.

In Room 024 on the Ground Floor there is a work station dedicated to visually impaired users that is equipped with appropriate hardware and software.
