The database consists of the national archive of the Hellenic Dissertations. It includes elements for dissertations that have been written in Greek universities as well as for dissertations written abroad by Greek Doctors. The database consists of the 80% of the total disseration production in Greece; it includes the dissertations since 1985 until today, as well as a proportion of 5% of the dissertations from 1932 until 1985. The information comes from secretariats, from focal points of universities, from university consultancies , from Interuniversity Centre of Recognition Degrees for the Foreigners and the Doctors. The language of the records is the language in which the dissertations have been written. However there is a translation in English and other languages for the titles, the summaries and subject headings. The titles are available in printed format from the library of National Documentation Centre.
