Dear members of the University Community, We would like to inform you that due to a forthcoming upgrade to the system used for accessing the Library’s electronic subscribed resources, there is a possibility that profiles/accounts and saved data created by you, at the publishers’ websites (eg. lists of saved records/searches etc.) will be affected. To prevent any potential loss, we strongly recommend that you save the data from your profile on to your personal computer before November 9, 2023. University of Cyprus Library is now a member of OPERAS research network, following a unanimous decision of its executive assembly. OPERAS (Open Access in the European Research Area through Scholarly Communication) is a European research infrastructure/network that aims to promote open scholarly communication in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities. We would like to inform you about a small-scale remedial maintenance work that will be carried out on the exterior of the 3rd floor of the Library building, which may result in some noise disturbance in the Library. Είμαστε στην ευχάριστη θέση να σας ενημερώσουμε ότι το αποθετήριο ΛηΚυΘΟΣ εντάχθηκε στην οικογένεια του eduGAIN, ως Service Provider (SP) / πάροχος υπηρεσίας. Αυτό επιτρέπει σε χρήστες από συμμετέχοντες οργανισμούς (πέραν των χρηστών του ΠΚ) να πιστοποιηθούν ως χρήστες του αποθετηρίου. Το eduGAIN είναι μια παγκόσμια υπηρεσία. Σε όλο τον κόσμο υπάρχουν περισσότερες από 80 ομοσπονδίες που συμμετέχουν ή βρίσκονται στη διαδικασία ένταξης στο eduGAIN, με περισσότερους από 5.000 παρόχους ταυτότητας και 3.500 παρόχους υπηρεσιών. All University members may apply to the Express Services of the University, to issue UCy IDs. The university card is also your library card and is required for entering the library. With the UCY ID card you may borrow books and audiovisial material (CDs, DVDs, LPs, audio tapes, video tapes, etc.) and use a range of library services. The ID is strictly personal and non-transferable.

Εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα «Δημιουργώ τη δική μου επιχείρηση» Έργο «ΟΜΗΡΟΣ» - Πρόγραμμα Συνεργασίας Interreg V-A Ελλάδα-Κύπρος 2014-2020 Με μεγάλη επιτυχία πραγματοποιήθηκε από 19 μέχρι 26 Ιουλίου 2023, το εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα «Δημιουργώ τη δική μου επιχείρηση». Οι ωφελούμενοι/ες του προγράμματος ήταν κυρίως, άτομα με εντυπο-αναπηρία, όλων των ηλικιών, διαφορετικών μορφωτικών επιπέδων και επαγγελματικών πεδίων. Η παρακολούθηση του προγράμματος ήταν δυνατή με φυσική παρουσία στο Κέντρο Πληροφόρησης – Βιβλιοθήκη «Στέλιος Ιωάννου» και διαδικτυακά. Το πρόγραμμα διοργανώθηκε από τη Βιβλιοθήκη Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου στο πλαίσιο συμμετοχής της στο έργο «ΟΜΗΡΟΣ» του Προγράμματος Συνεργασίας Interreg V-A Ελλάδα-Κύπρος 2014-2020. Dear members of the University Community, We would like to let you know that the Turnitin Draft Coach add-on is now available in Microsoft Word Online (via the Microsoft 365 interface). Turnitin Draft Coach is designed to assist students and researchers navigate the issues of similarity, plagiarism, proper use of citations and grammar while writing and editing assignments and prior to final submission. The user guide for the tool can be found on the Library's website under Research Support - Plagiarism Prevention.
