On Monday 27/02/2023 the Library will be closed due to public holiday. The 24/7 Reading Room remains open, even on public holidays.

Με βαθύτατη οδύνη αποχαιρετούμε σήμερα τον τέως Διευθυντή της Βιβλιοθήκης και ex officio μέλος της Συγκλήτου του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου, Φίλιππο Τσιμπόγλου, ο οποίος απεβίωσε σήμερα σε ηλικία 67 ετών. Το Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου εκφράζει τη βαθιά του θλίψη και τα ειλικρινή του συλλυπητήρια προς την οικογένεια και τους οικείους του εκλιπόντος. Οι σημαίες του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου κυματίζουν μεσίστιες από σήμερα έως και την ημέρα τέλεσης της κηδείας σε ένδειξη πένθους. Λεπτομέρειες για την κηδεία του εκλιπόντος θα ανακοινωθούν αργότερα. Please be informed that a new service, OpenAthens, will soon be used to access the Library’s licensed electronic resources . OpenAthens is an authentication and electronic access management system that allows users to access publisher content with their UCY credentials. We will soon share more information on the use of OpenAthens and the changes that may occur to the current system of accessing the electronic resources of the Library. Meanwhile, both VPN and OpenAthens can be used for accessing the Library resources remotely. Once OpenAthens is fully implemented, users will be able to access the Library’s purchased and subscription-based content hosted [...]

We would like to inform you that on 19 December, from 09:30 to 13:30 maintenance of the Library system will take place. During this period you may be: Unable to access the Library catalogue. Unable to access your personal library account “My Library”. The Self-Checkout/Check-in Stations will be temporarily deactivated. Unable to make electronic payment of fines. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience.
